Sanctuary benefit, October 25

Join other Temple members on Sunday, 10/25/09 at 6 pm for the annual benefit/dinner for the Bergen County Sanctuary Committee (Temple Emeth is a member). The dinner will be at Central Unitarian Church, 156 Forest Avenue, Paramus; admission is free but donations are appreciated.  The guest speaker is Ruthie Epstein, Project Coordinator, Refugee Protection Program at Human Rights First. She will discuss her work and the problems facing both refugees and asylum seekers in our country. She will also address the Obama administration’s recent recommendations re changes for the detention system.)
