Adult, teen, children’s choirs inviting new members

Kol Emet, the adult choir, which meets Wednesdays from 7:45 to 9:15pm, invites members to join.

Combine your love of music with our Jewish heritage; no prior choral experience or Hebrew knowledge is necessary. The first rehearsal of the new year will be on Wednesday, Oct. 6th

ETZ CHAYIM, the children’s choir, meets Wednesdays after Religious School, 6:15 to 7:15pm.

Join us for a pizza dinner with Cantor Tilem each week before rehearsal. Choir members get a prize every week and a great trophy at the end of the year. First rehearsal of the new year, Weds, Oct. 13th.

SHIR CHADASH Teen choir – This audition-only choir is for students in 8th through 12th grade.

Singers must have tonal memory or sight- reading skills in order to harmonize in an acapella setting.

Rehearsals will be scheduled around the very busy lives of our teens!

February Tot Shabbat moved to February 20th

February’s Tot Shabbat has also been moved to the third Saturday of the month, on February 20th at 9:30. Members and nonmembers are both invited to bring their young children (up to five years old) to the sanctuary for a kid’s service.

Then Simchat Shabbat is for you!

Simchat Shabbat (translation: the Joy of Shabbat) is a new service for 5- to 9-year-olds and their families.  This age-appropriate service is for both Temple members and non-members.  Bring a friend, learn a new song, have a bagel, and experience the Joy of Shabbat at Temple Emeth.

Please join us, Sunday October 31, at 9:15 am on the bima at Temple Emeth. Then stay for food and friendship.

The next Simchat Shabbat services will be Nov. 21 at 9:15 and Dec. 12 at 10:30 am.
