Religious School Collaboration
Religious School Collaboration
Beginning in 2023, Temple Emeth has joined with Temple Sinai in Tenafly to collaborate on Religious School education for our students in grades K through 7. We are excited that this collaboration will provide a robust education in a vibrant setting guided by the values of Reform Judaism. The program will be led by Temple Sinai’s Director of Congregational Learning, with involvement from both Rabbi Steven Sirbu of Temple Emeth and Rabbi Jordan Millstein of Temple Sinai.
Students in the Religious School program will meet on the following schedule:
- Grades K through 2: Sundays from 9:00 to 11:30
- Grades 3 through 6: Sundays from 9:00 to 11:30 and one weekday session. Weekday sessions will be in-person on Tuesdays from 4:00 to 5:30 and online instruction on Wednesdays between 4:00 and 5:30.
- Grade 7: Tuesdays from 4:00 to 5:30.
At least four special Religious School programs will take place at Temple Emeth in the 2023-34 school year.
We are pleased to inform you that our former Religious School Director, Dora Geld Friedman, has been granted honorary member status by the Board of Trustees. We look forward to having Mora Dora continue to be a vibrant part of our congregation.
